A question in Christianity is, is left-handedness a sin against God as it is considered unclean to most countries?
I created again this post as this question continues to be asked by claimed Christians.
According to Wikipedia 90 percent of the world's population are right-handed people.
It is said that in many societies, left-handed people have been historically forced as children to use their right hands for tasks which they would naturally perform with the left, such as eating or writing. I knew someone who experienced being forced as a child to use her right hand rather than her left and that is my wife. She admits, there is a big impact in her life and that is losing the skills that supposed to be she was good at. In other words, affected her emotionally, physically, and mentally.
And more information in Wikipedia says that in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, it has traditionally been perceived as "rude" behavior to use the left hand for eating, as the left hand is commonly used for tasks considered "unclean".
Not just India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia, but most countries in the Middle East that practice the religion of Islam consider left-handedness unclean, rude, and so on.
Speaking of religion, some claim that in Christianity, the right hand of God is the favored hand while God's left hand, however, is the hand of judgment. And they reference Matthew 25: 32–33, in which sheep represent the righteous and goats represent the fallen.
There was also a time in history when homosexuals were referred to as left-handed.
Anyway, when it comes to ability or skills, according to the scripture there was one tribe of Israel which is the tribe of Benjamin that are left-handed people, and take note it is said that they are more skillful than those other tribes. This is proof that God did not only favored the right-handed people but also the left-handed people. And the tribe of Benjamin is proof that being left-handed is not a sin against God or not unclean in the eyes of God. Whether you accept it or not it is written in the book of Revelation that the tribe of Benjamin is saved eternally or in other words the left-handed people can enter and be accepted in the Kingdom of God. There was nothing in the scripture that this left-handed tribe was condemned by God because of their left-handedness.
Some said the left hand is unclean because the left hand is being used for washing after excreting but the left-handed people did not unrighteously judge the right-handed people, anyway, does this mean that these right-handed people who unrighteously judge the left-handed have never made their right hand touch their left hand or vice versa ever? I doubt it, therefore the accusation is just hypocrisy, unreasonable, and again unrighteous as not to use the left hand is not a commandment of God, or being left-handed people are not even mentioned as evil. They just corrupted the right side and left side in the scripture and tried to relate it to right-handed and left-handed but actually, they just ended up corrupting the scriptures.
And when speaking about homosexuality, left-handed people are not homosexuals for sure majority of the homosexuals are right-handed. The tribe of Benjamin is again an example that being left-handed is not being homosexual for they were described as skillful strong men but did not say that these men are effeminate, there is even a tragic incident that this tribe committed as they did not have women in their tribe at that time, and being men without wives or women for very long they end up sharing one woman abusing the said woman.
Therefore whoever spread the wrong teachings about left-handed committed unrighteous judgment and must repent. If right-handed people are not good and left-handed are evil think again, for there are many evil people in this world that are right-handed even those wicked people mentioned in the scriptures.
God is not a God that has only one hand or arm which is the right hand or arm only and God did not create humans with one hand or arm which is the right hand or arm only. Therefore, whether you are right-handed or left-handed it does not make a difference in the eyes of God, and being left-handed is absolutely not unclean, rude, or evil in His sight for even a left-handed found favor in His sight and allowed to enter the Kingdom of God especially they accepted the salvation or righteousness of the Heavenly Father.
Anyway, even myself is a left-handed person including two of my youngest children, and if my foreign wife wasn't forced to switch because of their culture, that would include my wife. Even if my children turn out to be all right-handed or left-handed it does not matter and no condemnation but they are considered natural and a blessing from God.
